Does this remind you of Gargamel’s Castle on the Smurf’s?   LOL!  He always had the only cloud in the sky hovering over head.   Other than a few whisps, this little poofy cloud was the only one in the sky that day.

It spent all day hovering over Pelee Island which you can see in the bottom right corner.

Not such a little cloud afterall!

So often I’m asked about the name Two Little Witches. Witches are mean and nasty, so why would a children’s artist of fairytales choose such a name?

Well here’s why…

Meet my daughter Tabytha… For anyone familiar with the old show Bewitched, that’s how we came to be known as the two little witches.

Good ones of course!

Changed the look today. Still have a few things to tweek, but I love it! Any thoughts?

Summer is coming to a close and school will be back in session soon. While I look forward to having some extra time on my hands, I sure will miss these fun summer moments…

Well… Hello Wheatabix!

Even the dogs have a blast down at the beach. Woozle’s off digging for gold…

Has sprouted… her own home grown beans fresh from the garden! The one she and Daddy grew for the very first time.

It was a very exciting moment for this little proud mama!

A storm was a brewing in the distance, but there it was… the silver lining. Not nearly as beautiful as in person.

Last night while reading about a fundraiser I participated in, I accidentally spilled my whole cup of tea all over my laptop.  On the keypad as well as pooling around the base…

Arghhh… the horror!

With nothing around, I grabbed it and hung it upside down to drain off all the liquid fast.   Then stuck it in front of a fan to dry through the little open vent areas.   It was still running… phew… backed up all my art files to DVD as fast as possible knowing it might crash at any moment.   Left it running all night long for fear of turning it off.

Knock on wood… it’s still working!

Tonight Tabytha and Austin met up with one of their favorite friends. Her name is Samantha too. ;o)

After hours of chasing and climbing, it’s wonderful to watch them playing quietly together… laughing and smiling. Reminds me of some of my favorite childhood moments.

The hard part is leaving… of course. That’s when we get the infamous “not happy” faces and “but mom”s.

Okay… Just five more minutes.

Most afternoons we end up heading over to one of the parks in our neighborhood. Tonight was the Marina Park which is just down the street and within walking distance. Good exercise for us parents.

In keeping with the theme, the play structure is a marooned pirate ship with multilevel decks, ladders… the works! Needless to say the kids love it.

And the view is spectacular as boats sail in and out of the marina.

My friend Jane sent my this picture a while back and I’ve been meaning to share it. It makes me giggle every time I look at it.

Talk about a sour puss… ROFL… Poor little thing!
