on Aug9 2008What a Sweet Set!
on Aug1 2008I just finished a sweet set of handpainted canvas art for a customer. From left to right - Made in Heaven, Sweet Child of Mine and Always & Forever.
For each, I use a print on canvas as the underlay and then add a load of handpainted embellishments… by the time it’s finished, it really is a painting.

The canvas is then wrapped around a wooden framed with the sides painted black so that the art just pops in contrast.
These are some of my very favorites!
The Three Amigos
on Jul26 2008Tonight Tabytha and Austin met up with one of their favorite friends. Her name is Samantha too. ;o)

After hours of chasing and climbing, it’s wonderful to watch them playing quietly together… laughing and smiling. Reminds me of some of my favorite childhood moments.

The hard part is leaving… of course. That’s when we get the infamous “not happy” faces and “but mom”s.
Okay… Just five more minutes.
Fun at the Marina
on Jul24 2008Most afternoons we end up heading over to one of the parks in our neighborhood. Tonight was the Marina Park which is just down the street and within walking distance. Good exercise for us parents.
In keeping with the theme, the play structure is a marooned pirate ship with multilevel decks, ladders… the works! Needless to say the kids love it.
And the view is spectacular as boats sail in and out of the marina.
Sweet Blessings
on Jul7 2008Well it’s finally finished and I just love how it turned out. A birthday present to myself perhaps? These are some of my sweet blessings…
Some things are so important to our being, we know not what we would do without them… Sweet blessings from Heaven.
Prints available…
Always love to hear comments on my artworks!
:o)
Where’s Waldo?
on Jun26 2008Five years ago we took in a stray cat my husband John found wandering the streets of Ottawa. We called her Wilbur… not a very feminine name, but it just seems to fit her.
She loves to hide in the strangest places…

Of course this makes it really hard to find her because, as it turns out, she’s absolutely deaf. So every night we all play a game…
Where’s Wilbur?
Bowl Full of Fairies
on Jun22 2008Just added a new print to my shoppes. It’s Back to School… And that includes fairies too!
Somewhere deep in the forest, hidden within the flowers, little fairy girls have gone back to school… Learning to flutter and fly, casting magical spells and all those secret fairy things.
The perfect way to treasure those first days of school!
