I can’t believe it’s been two months since my last update.   Spring has a way of making things come to life… including life itself and we’ve been busy little bees.

Of course the best news is that the snow is long gone and the lake is no longer a frozen tundra.   It’s so good to hear the water lapping against the shore again.  The trees and flowers are already beginning to bloom.

Tabytha began her first swimming lessons last October starting as a Salamander and has just graduated from Swim Kids II.   What a difference a few months of lessons can make.   When she first started, she was scared to jump off the side into the shallow end. Now she’s swimming in the deep end and jumping off the diving board unassisted.

Austin, worried that his little sister would get better than him, joined in on the swimming lessons and completed Swim Kids IV.

Living on the water, it’s so important that they both be strong swimmers.   Now we just have to teach Dad to float.  ;o)

Just before Christmas, Jack was killed by a car mid-afternoon. Stupid driver… he took a big piece of our heart.

Sometimes the smallest things have the biggest impact on our lives and jack was one of them. This poem was written by my husband…

“I want him back” was all she could say.

Not in memory – but here and now – TODAY!

All love will eventually become lost.

We need to give no matter the cost.

Fighting on for just a chance to believe,

To have someone wonderful who won’t leave.

Each of us follows a set path.

We are lucky to be loved and share a happy laugh.

It’s so easy to toss around guilt and blame.

But who wants to live life tame?

We teach and show what we can.

Each chapter is part of a grand plan.

I hate that all life is on loan.

And it can change with the ring of the phone.

It hurts to our very core,

God took our angel… but there will be more.
